The Air Canada Vacations Description Guide

Property descriptions the Roundels

Resorts, hotels, condominiums, bed and breakfasts, and villas have been carefully selected to suit every taste and budget. The following description guide has been developed to help you choose the property that's right for you, in terms of its facilities, services, location and ambiance. Since many establishments offer a range of accommodations, this description guide is for the property in general. In evaluating a property, Air Canada Vacations draws on a range of sources, including independent reviewers, customer response and evaluation by qualified Air Canada Vacations employees. Air Canada Vacations' assessment of facilities and accommodation is relative to general standards in each city.

Five Roundels indicate a truly luxurious property, offering the highest standards of dining, comfort and service. Décor, attention to detail and a high staff-to-guest ratio are emphasized. Fitness and recreational facilities may include tennis courts and golf courses. Guest rooms are spacious and include luxurious bedding and bath products as well as extensive amenities. For Europe products, 5-roundel properties may be referred to as Deluxe.

Four Roundels indicate an upscale property, offering fine dining and/or buffet, and/or a la carte, room service and well-designed lounge areas. A greater focus is placed on individual service, which generally includes baggage handling, concierge service, valet parking and spa facilities. Guest rooms are well appointed and have quality bedding, bath products and a range of amenities. For Europe products, 4-roundel properties may be referred to as First Class.

Three Roundels indicate that a property is superior and generally well appointed. Restaurants, baggage handling, a gift shop, and fitness and recreation facilities are usually available. Guest rooms are more stylishly decorated and include a range of amenities. For Europe products, 3-roundel properties may be referred to as Superior.

Two Roundels indicate that a property is clean and offers basic accommodations. Restaurants, baggage handling, and fitness and recreation facilities may be very limited or unavailable. Guest rooms usually include a private bathroom, telephone and television and limited amenities. For Europe products, 2-roundel properties may be referred to as Moderate.

A half Roundel: To give you the most accurate description, Air Canada Vacations uses a half Roundel, allowing greater precision in evaluating the properties offered.
