Travel Update - CUPE

Montreal, September 20 ,2011

Air Canada has received a strike notice from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), which represents the airline’s 6,800 flight attendants, confirming the union’s intention to strike at 12:01a.m. on September 21, 2011.

Air Canada remains committed to achieving a negotiated settlement prior to the strike deadline and talks are ongoing assisted by a federally-appointed mediator.

Air Canada Vacations has introduced a flexible rebooking policy to enable customers booked for travel between September 20-25 to change their travel plans for travel up until April 30, 2012, subject to availability.

Air Canada Vacations is monitoring developments on a regular basis. Additional updates will be provided on aircanadavacations.com and aircanada.com as new information arises.
