If the contracting parties are single:

- 2 witnesses (the witnesses cannot be relatives)
If one of the contracting parties is divorced the following should be submitted:
- Certified copy of the divorce in the official language
- Official translation into Spanish.
- The above documents should be legalized in the country of origin
If one of the contracting parties is a widow/widower, he or she should submit:
- Certified copy of the previous marriage
- Certified copy of death certificate
- Both documents released in the official language of the country and an official translation into Spanish
- Certified copy of the divorce in the official language
