Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica
Arrival at Juan Santamaría International / San Jose Airport. Meet and greet by Air Canada Vacations Costa Rica Representative (CRT). Our english-speaking tour guide will assist guests with the hotel transfers.

Day 2: San Jose
Breakfast and lunch included.

Breakfast at hotel followed by a San José sightseeing tour and the Coffee Tour

San Jose Sightseeing City Tour:
The sightseeing tour goes through the main residential areas and commercial districts of the city.

Coffee Tour:
This unique Coffee Tour will guide you through all the coffee production stages.

Important note
Reaching Tortuguero (day 3) involves travelling by boat and therefore luggage is restricted to a maximum of 25 pounds (12 Kg) per person.

CRT will store and ensure safe keep of the remaining luggage that will be delivered to participants upon their return from Tortuguero.

Day 3: Tortuguero
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included

Ground transfer to the dock with breakfast en route. Board the boat which will take guests through canals to the Tortuguero National Park (approx. 3 hours). On the way you may observe the wildlife.

Afternoon at your leisure. You can experience the local culture and habitat, visit some of the area's wonderful natural attractions, walk the nature trails or just relax in a hammock.

Day 4: Tortuguero
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included

In order to take advantage of the early morning wildlife activity, guests are invited to participate on the scheduled boat tour through the many Tortuguero canals
(optional early morning tour not included on the cost of the package)

Tortuguero National Park
Lead by our certified naturalist guides that will explain the many inner relationships of species resident to this unique and pristine rainforest.

Rest of the day to enjoy programmed activities at the Tortuguero jungle lodge.

Day 5: Tortuguero to Sarapiquí
Breakfast and lunch included

Morning breakfast followed by a boat transfer through one of Tortugueros many tributary rivers to Guápiles for lunch. Your CRT representative will be waiting with
your luggage to provide the ground transfer/tour to Sarapiquí.

Participants may enjoy the Night Bat tour this evening (optional) CRT may offer the Chocolate Tour on next day for those passengers who prefer this tour instead of the Night Bat tour:

Night Bat Tour:
This tour provides a safe opportunity to touch, feel, feed and release safely captured bats.

The Chocolate Tour:
This tour includes a guided hike across the Tirimbina suspension bridge to a cacao plantation. You will also taste different types of organic chocolates.

Day 6 : Arenal Area
Breakfast included
Morning at leisure. Transfer to the Arenal area, and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy all the hotel facilities.

Day 7 : Fortuna & Arenal Volcano National Park
Breakfast and dinner included
Morning is at your leisure. You may observe the volcanic activity or enjoy one of the many activities featured at this popular destination in Costa Rica.

Arenal Volcano & Hot Springs
This tour departs early afternoon, to enjoy the lush scenery and the majestic form of Arenal Volcano by the light of day.

Day 8 : Fortuna & Arenal Volcano National Park
Breakfast included

Breakfast at the hotel and day at leisure for optional tours at the area, like a canyoning tour or the My Cheese tour.

Canyoning tour: min. age of 6 years old to participate (accompanied by a guide). Children over 12 years old &  over 100 lbs. may do the tour alone.

Day 9: North Pacific Coast
Breakfast included, All-Inclusive resort at destination

Ground transfer from Arenal to Barceló Langosta Beach.

Day 10 to 13: North Pacific Coast
All-Inclusive accommodations

Days at leisure to enjoy resort facilities or take optional tours like the beach tour or the boat and snorkelling tour.

Day 14: Back to San Jose

Ground transfer from Barceló Langosta Beach back to San Jose with a stop in Sarchí town.

Breakfast at the hotel then depart to San Joses International Airport for the flight back home.

Guests may request the services of a french- speaking guide at time of booking. This service is subject to availability and at an additional cost for individual travellers.

For groups of 10 travellers or more, there will be no extra charge.

During all transfers there will be a stop en route for participants to disembark and use the restrooms.

Optional Turtle night tour at Tortuguero (nesting season from July to September)
Tortuguero National Park entrance fee (10 USD per person) This must be paid locally.
Entrance fee to Caribbean Conservation Corporation Museum (1 USD per person) This fee must be paid directly at the turtle museum.
Departure airport tax (26 USD per person) is not included; paid in cash at the airport before departure
